The US Navy has selected CoAspire to develop a new affordable ground-launched cruise missile designed to provide allied forces with enhanced long-range strike capabilities.The weapon is based on the Rapidly Adaptable Affordable Cruise Missile-Extended Range (RAACM-ER) system and is being developed through the Coalition Heterogeneous Affordable Offensive Strike program under a $70 million prototype agreement.The missile combines a launch booster, ground-based system, and advanced guidance technologies to engage both land-based and maritime targets. It uses GPS-assisted navigation and an infrared seeker to improve accuracy and effectiveness against moving threats.The infrared guidance system operates passively during terminal engagement, reducing vulnerability to electronic interference and making the missile harder to detect.The development supports the US Navy’s goal of providing affordable precision strike options for coalition partners and foreign military customers.
