Bell Textron has secured an order for India’s first Bell 407GXi helicopter from TransBharat Aviation Private Limited, marking another milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two companies.
Since its establishment in 1990, TransBharat Aviation has operated several Bell platforms, including the Bell 206B3 and Bell 407. The new Bell 407GXi will strengthen the operator’s fleet with enhanced capabilities tailored for demanding missions such as mountainous operations, aerial surveys, and corporate transport throughout the country.
The aircraft becomes part of the globally successful Bell 407 family, which numbers more than 1,500 helicopters and has recorded over six million flight hours supporting a wide range of commercial and public-service missions.
Known for its strong focus on safety, technical excellence, and operational reliability, TransBharat Aviation continues to invest in advanced aviation technologies. The introduction of the Bell 407GXi reinforces its position as a leading rotary-wing operator while supporting the continued growth of India’s helicopter sector.
