Oshkosh Defense has secured a series of contracts worth a combined $142 million for the delivery of FMTV A2 tactical vehicles to US and foreign defense customers. The agreements cover the vehicle family’s 4×4 cargo, 6×6 cargo, and extended-wheelbase configurations, designed for long-range logistics missions in demanding operational environments. No information was released regarding production timelines, procurement volumes, or end users. The contracts come after an earlier FMTV A2 award that called for the supply of 97 low-velocity airdrop-capable vehicles to the US Army. Among the variants, the 4×4 cargo truck can transport up to 6,000 pounds and accommodates 146 cubic feet of cargo while achieving speeds of up to 62 mph. The 6×6 cargo version increases payload capacity to 16,000 pounds and offers 165 cubic feet of storage volume with a top speed of 60 mph. The long-wheelbase 6×6 model provides 238 cubic feet of cargo space and includes a crane capable of handling loads of up to 10,000 pounds at heights reaching 12 feet.
