ARX Robotics has won an order to supply its GEREON uncrewed ground vehicles (UGVs) to the British Army, supporting ongoing efforts to incorporate autonomous and robotic technologies into land warfare. The systems will be deployed alongside operational units to test their integration and effectiveness within current force structures, reflecting the UK’s wider defense modernization strategy.

The GEREON platform is a medium-sized UGV suited for both defense and civilian roles, offering flexible operation in manual or autonomous modes. It is designed to support missions such as logistics transport, casualty evacuation, and reconnaissance. With a payload capacity of up to 500 kilograms, the vehicle can carry essential supplies and equipment across varied terrain.

The system features an operational range of up to 40 kilometers and can be controlled from distances of up to 4 kilometers. It incorporates thermal and night vision sensors, enabling performance in low-light and adverse visibility conditions. Engineered for all-terrain use, the platform can be deployed quickly, with a charging time of roughly 2.5 hours and endurance reaching up to 72 hours depending on usage.

Its modular design allows for seamless integration of mission-specific payloads, providing flexibility across different operational scenarios without requiring redesign of the core vehicle platform.
