Turkish defense company Aselsan has secured a new agreement with Polish armored vehicle manufacturer AMZ-Kutno to supply additional ARSUS reconnaissance and surveillance systems.
The deal expands the companies’ existing cooperation on the ARSUS platform, according to Anadolu Agency. The financial details were not disclosed, although defense industry reports indicate that the order could cover 24 ARSUS systems.
ARSUS is an integrated reconnaissance and surveillance solution that combines sensors and related equipment to enable armored vehicle crews to detect, identify, and track targets and objects at extended ranges.
The systems are being incorporated into Poland’s Kleszcz program, which uses AMZ-Kutno’s 4×4 armored vehicle. In 2024, Aselsan and AMZ-Kutno signed a €16.6 million ($19.3 million) contract covering the supply of radar and electro-optical systems for the vehicles.
Aselsan has also outlined plans to strengthen its presence in Poland through its local office, ongoing programs, and partnerships with Polish defense companies. Its cooperation with AMZ-Kutno is already supporting Poland’s Kleszcz light reconnaissance vehicle initiative.
Strengthening Poland-Turkey Defense Cooperation
The latest agreement represents another step in the expanding defense relationship between Turkey and Poland.
In July, Turkish defense industry chief Haluk Görgün visited Warsaw, where he held talks with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Discussions focused on existing defense cooperation and potential opportunities for new joint projects.
The talks followed a security cooperation agreement signed by Turkey and Poland in December 2025. The agreement covers information sharing, joint military exercises, intelligence cooperation, and defense industry development.
It also calls for greater coordination between the two countries within NATO and cooperation ahead of the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara. Poland has additionally committed to supporting Turkey’s participation in European defense projects.
