Anduril Industries and Elbit Systems of America have joined forces to compete for the US Army’s Self-Propelled Howitzer Modernization (SPH-M) program. Their proposed solution, the SIGMA Mobile Tactical Cannon, combines a wheeled 155mm artillery platform with advanced autonomy, command-and-control integration, and battlefield networking technologies. Designed for high mobility and long-range fire support, the system seeks to improve responsiveness and survivability on future battlefields. The partnership also plans to integrate digital battlefield tools and autonomous functions that can enhance targeting efficiency and operational awareness.
