The US Army has selected Teledyne FLIR Defense to deliver over 45 R80D SkyRaider drones under an $11.2 million contract supporting CBRN missions. Designed to aid troops operating in hazardous environments, the systems feature semi-autonomous search and survey functions that help identify contamination risks before personnel enter affected areas. The drones will be equipped with the company’s MUVE B330 biological sensor and a range of specialized CBRN payloads, providing improved situational awareness and rapid hazard detection in real time.
