L3Harris Technologies has been awarded Foreign Military Sales contracts to provide Germany with its advanced Falcon tactical radio portfolio, reinforcing the country’s efforts to modernize battlefield communications.

The Falcon range features secure, multi-band communication solutions, including handheld radios, manpack units, vehicle-mounted and airborne transceivers, and power amplifiers, enabling reliable voice and data connectivity across land, air, and other operational environments.

The systems will support the German Armed Forces under the Digitalization – Land Based Operations (D-LBO) program, which is focused on enhancing mobile command-and-control networks with next-generation communication technologies. According to L3Harris, the equipment will also be fielded by Germany’s special operations forces.

Shipments to Berlin are expected later this year, accompanied by localized technical services and support. The new agreements follow L3Harris’ announcement in May of contracts worth up to $214 million for the same D-LBO modernization effort. Similar tactical communication upgrades have also been delivered by the company to the US Army, the Netherlands military, and several other European defense customers.
