The US Army has awarded prototype development opportunities to six industry partners under its Infantry Last Tactical Mile (ILTM) initiative to advance unmanned ground vehicles for logistics and casualty evacuation.

The program focuses on production-ready autonomous platforms capable of operating between rear logistics hubs and troops deployed at the tactical edge. By using UGVs for these missions, the Army aims to limit soldiers’ exposure to high-risk environments while maintaining critical battlefield support.

The participating companies include Maren-Go, Overland AI, Forterra, Hendrick’s Motorsports, American Rheinmetall, and HDT.
