Poland will locally produce Anduril’s autonomous air platforms, including a Polish variant of the Barracuda-500M cruise missile, under a new collaboration.
The memorandum of understanding between state defense group PGZ and Anduril covers joint development, local manufacture, and supply-chain work with Polish vendors across the PGZ network.
The Barracuda-500M is a software-defined, autonomous cruise missile suitable for launch from F-16s or C-130 aircraft. It delivers a 100-lb (45-kg) warhead to ranges near 500 nm (about 926 km), engaging both moving and fixed targets.
Marketed as the “most producible” missile in the Barracuda-M family (revealed Sept 2024), it reduces unique tooling and part counts, uses commercial components across six common sub-systems, and supports rapid upgrades and scaleable production.
