BAE Systems has handed over the first three BvS10 armored all-terrain vehicles to Sweden, Germany, and the UK as part of their joint procurement program.
The framework agreement covers 423 vehicles in total—223 for Sweden, 60 for the UK, and 140 for Germany—with deliveries extending through 2028. Germany has since expanded its order with an additional 227 units.
The latest BvS10 variant is engineered for superior mobility across extreme environments such as snow, ice, sand, mud, swamps, rocky terrain, and steep mountains. Its amphibious design allows operations in flooded areas and coastal waters, enabling troop and supply transport across all operational levels.
Thanks to its modular architecture, the articulated tracked system can be configured for various missions, including personnel transport, command and control, ambulance, recovery, logistics, situational awareness, and weapons deployment, including mortar systems.
In 2024, Sweden commissioned Saab’s Mobile Short-Range Air Defence system to be mounted on the BvS10. The vehicle is already in use with Austria, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK.
