V2X has received a US Navy contract to upgrade survivability systems on Marine Corps KC-130J tanker and transport aircraft through the integration of the Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) system. The technology is designed to defend aircraft from infrared-guided threats such as heat-seeking missiles by automatically detecting launches and deploying countermeasures. Work on the project will take place at the company’s Florida facility, which includes extensive manufacturing and testing infrastructure. The contract further strengthens V2X’s growing defense portfolio, which also includes counter-drone technologies and Pentagon modernization programs focused on AI, integration, and advanced military systems.
