Recent testing of Thales’s RapidDestroyer RF directed-energy weapon saw the system take down 80 drones, highlighting its potential as a battlefield-ready counter-drone capability.
Equipped with a four-panel effector, the weapon can direct higher levels of energy onto targets compared with legacy systems. The configuration further improves precision tracking and energy delivery, allowing operators to engage aerial threats more effectively at longer ranges.
