Thailand has taken a significant step to boost its eastern frontier security with the deployment of 8×8 amphibious wheeled armored vehicles (AWAVs), improving its joint land and maritime operational capabilities.
The platforms are built to handle diverse roles such as disaster response, sovereignty enforcement, and border protection.
Additionally, they can integrate with the Royal Thai Navy’s landing platform dock ships, enabling coordinated amphibious missions.
