Raytheon, an RTX business, has advanced the development of its Next Generation Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) following a successful demonstration against simulated aerial targets. The test saw several NGSRI missiles identify, track, and engage threats, validating the interceptor’s guidance and target engagement performance. Designed as the successor to the Stinger missile, the system features a portable Command Launch Assembly, an advanced precision-optics seeker, and a high-performance solid rocket motor provided by Lockheed Martin.
