Lockheed Martin has carried out the inaugural demonstration of its GRIZZLY containerized launcher intercepting a Group 3 one-way attack drone using a Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM). The test, held at Arizona’s Yuma Proving Ground, showcased the integration of the Sanctum counter-drone battle manager with Fortem Technologies’ R-40 radar in a full engagement sequence. In the exercise, Fortem’s radar detected and continuously tracked the target drone, after which Sanctum’s mission software analyzed the threat data and directed the GRIZZLY launcher to engage the target with a JAGM missile.
