At the ILA Berlin Air Show 2026, Diehl Defence showcased the IRIS-T SLS MK4, a new mobile Short-Range Air Defense (SHORAD) system engineered to deliver comprehensive air protection from a single platform.
The vehicle integrates key air defense components—including radar, command-and-control systems, launchers, and effectors—into one self-contained unit. According to Diehl Defence, the upgraded IRIS-T SLS MK4 features eight times the payload capacity of previous variants, providing greater firepower and enhanced combat performance against a wide range of airborne threats.
