Thales is advancing new electro-optic countermeasure concepts designed to help military vehicles evade modern battlefield threats by making them more difficult to detect, monitor, and engage.
The effort is being carried out under the UK’s Next Generation Soft Kill (NGSK) initiative, where the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory has chosen Thales to work alongside QinetiQ on advanced survivability technologies for future combat vehicles.
As part of the program, multiple technology concepts will undergo assessment, with a single solution eventually selected for expanded development and evaluation.
