Hanwha Systems has introduced a new unmanned surface vessel (USV) that could significantly enhance South Korea’s future naval operations by enabling coordinated missions alongside crewed warships and shore-based command centers.

Unveiled during the Eurosatory 2026 defence exhibition in Paris, the Striker-S is designed as a modular, multi-mission platform capable of carrying containerized payloads weighing up to 10 tons.

Its flexible architecture allows the vessel to be rapidly configured for a wide range of operational roles, including intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and strike missions. According to Hanwha Systems, the Striker-S can be equipped with advanced radar systems, guided weaponry, and other mission-specific payloads to support evolving naval requirements.
