Drone operators from the Hungarian Defence Forces competed in the country’s inaugural military pentathlon dedicated to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations.
Conducted over two days at a military training facility in Csobánka, the event assessed soldiers’ physical endurance, operational skills under challenging conditions, and proficiency in counter-drone shooting.
The opening day featured a speed course that combined drone piloting with reconnaissance missions, requiring participants to demonstrate precision and efficiency. Competitors were penalized with an additional 30 seconds for each mistake, emphasizing accuracy alongside speed.
