The Defence Research and Development Laboratory is advancing a next-generation navigation and guidance package aimed at enhancing the targeting accuracy of future Indian missile systems.

At the core of the system is an upgraded inertial navigation architecture that combines accelerometers and gyroscopes positioned along the missile’s principal axes. By measuring motion and orientation across multiple dimensions, the sensors provide continuous flight-path data, allowing the guidance system to make timely adjustments and maintain precision during engagement.
