A joint venture between US-German software company Auterion and Ukrainian drone manufacturer Airlogix has begun mass-producing more than 5,000 unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in Germany for Ukraine.
The production program is backed by the German government under a contract valued at approximately €300 million ($349 million). It includes the Seth X medium-range drone, designed for swarm operations, and the Anubis long-range strike drone. The Anubis can reportedly reach distances of up to 1,500 kilometers (932 miles) while carrying a 50-kilogram (110-pound) warhead.
Assembly of the systems is currently taking place at a facility near Munich. The companies are also preparing to establish a second manufacturing site in eastern Germany to expand production capacity.
