A significant milestone has been achieved in the development of Northrop Grumman’s Jackal missile, following a successful test that confirmed the system’s readiness for future battlefield operations. The trial featured an automated turbojet engine start, demonstrating the missile’s ability to respond quickly and transition rapidly into flight.
In addition, Jackal successfully executed autopilot-guided flight and high-speed maneuvers, underscoring its suitability for contested combat scenarios where GPS signals may be disrupted. The demonstration provides further evidence of the missile’s capability to operate in complex environments while delivering next-generation precision-strike performance.
