Saab has revealed a full-scale concept model of the A3-001, a stealth-oriented supersonic autonomous fighter designed as a potential loyal wingman for next-generation air combat operations.
The concept integrates several advanced technologies, including cloud-native software, low-observable characteristics, autonomous systems, and multi-domain operational capabilities.
Its software-defined architecture separates key functions, intelligence, and control logic from the aircraft’s physical hardware. A centralized software layer coordinates and manages these capabilities, supporting a more flexible and adaptable system design.
