The domestically developed UGRAM battle rifle has taken a significant step toward entering service with the Indian Army after successfully meeting key testing and evaluation requirements.
The weapon completed GSQR trials, Ministry of Home Affairs Board evaluations, and rigorous endurance testing in harsh environmental conditions, positioning it for possible induction into military service.
Chambered in NATO-standard 7.62×51mm caliber, the UGRAM features a gas-operated, rotating-bolt operating system that delivers improved accuracy, extended engagement range, and increased stopping power.
