Ultra Intelligence & Communications is equipping the MQ-9B with a more advanced “brain” through its Knox-5 processor, significantly improving onboard AI and real-time data processing.
The firm has secured a contract from the US Marine Corps to deliver nine Knox-5 processors, enabling the aircraft to handle more data at the edge and limit the need for off-platform computing.
Built on a SOSA-aligned open architecture, the Knox-5 offers flexibility and interoperability, allowing integration with diverse sensors and subsystems across the MQ-9B’s mission set.
