Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky division has unveiled the S-70UAS U-Hawk, an autonomous evolution of the UH-60L Black Hawk designed to broaden the helicopter’s mission scope.

Developed in just 10 months, the U-Hawk features a redesigned fuselage offering 25% more internal space than the standard Black Hawk. The traditional cockpit has been replaced with actuated clamshell doors and a rear ramp, enabling faster loading and transport of larger payloads.

Equipped with Sikorsky’s third-generation fly-by-wire controls and MATRIX autonomy suite, the U-Hawk operates as an uncrewed platform capable of autonomous logistics, drone deployment, and long-endurance missions.
