Australian company DroneShield is advancing battlefield RF intelligence with RfRecon, a handheld system designed to consolidate signal detection and intelligence functions into a single portable device.
RfRecon enables users to detect, identify, locate, and analyze RF emissions while operating in the field. The platform incorporates Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Remote ID capabilities, ship and aircraft detection, an integrated GNSS receiver, and hardware-level security.
The device combines wideband RF coverage with direction-finding and signal intelligence technologies to support rapid identification and assessment of signals. Its open-system architecture and use of common data formats are intended to simplify connectivity with existing communications, command, and intelligence networks.
The compact design provides operators with a portable RF awareness capability, allowing them to gather and evaluate signal information without relying on multiple standalone systems.
