Babcock International Group has been awarded a two-year extension to sustain its Future Maritime Support Program (FMSP) services for the Royal Navy, reinforcing fleet readiness and infrastructure capabilities for key in-service warships. The program ensures that naval assets remain deployment-ready and capable of countering modern operational threats.

The latest contract includes engineering work and program oversight for Type 23 Duke-class frigates, Sandown-class minehunters, amphibious vessels, and landing craft systems. Delivery will be handled by expert teams based at Babcock’s Devonport and Rosyth facilities.

In parallel, Babcock has also extended its support to the Royal Air Force under the Light Aircraft Flying Task (LAFT) program. Spanning four years, this contract focuses on maintaining and managing training aircraft operations across 13 UK bases, contributing to a cumulative total of over 750,000 flying hours in pilot training for the UK’s joint forces.
