American defense manufacturer Gentex Corporation has been selected by the Czech Republic to supply advanced ballistic helmets and integrated communication headsets in a significant upgrade of the nation’s military equipment.
The $47.8 million (over 1 billion Czech korunas) contract was awarded via the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), which manages collective defense acquisitions among member countries.
The package includes Gentex’s signature Ops-Core helmets and a range of accessories—AMP headsets, push-to-talk units, ballistic visors, face shields, jaw guards, and tactical respirators featuring built-in microphones for enhanced communication in hazardous zones.
According to the company, the system offers a unified protection and communication solution to improve soldier survivability and battlefield coordination.
NSPA will coordinate manufacturing and delivery with the Czech Ministry of Defence, while Gentex will be responsible for soldier training, equipment fitting, and ongoing technical support.
The full delivery is slated for completion by October 2026.
