Poland’s Borsuk infantry fighting vehicle will soon be equipped with Northrop’s Mk44 Bushmaster II gun, a versatile NATO-standard weapon also adaptable for naval use. The cannon weighs 160kg, has a 2.4m barrel, and fires two types of ammunition belts. Warsaw’s modernization contract, signed in 2023, covers more than 100 Borsuks initially, forming part of a plan to field over 1,000 in multiple variants.
