A new armored warfare concept from KNDS aims to transform how European militaries employ main battle tanks on future battlefields. Known as CAPINT (CAPacité INTermédiaire), the vehicle has been proposed for the French Army as an intermediary capability solution.

Built on the Leopard 2 A8 platform and driven by a 1,500-horsepower diesel powerplant, the tank combines established combat performance with next-generation operational features.

Among its most notable innovations is the ability to seamlessly connect with unmanned platforms. By working in conjunction with autonomous “robotic wingers,” the tank can extend its sensor reach, improve battlefield awareness, and gather critical information beyond the crew’s direct line of sight.
