Hanwha Defense USA and UNION Technologies of Texas have entered into a strategic alliance aimed at boosting 155-mm ammunition production capacity within the United States.
The partnership is designed to support the expansion of the US defense industrial base and strengthen supply chains capable of meeting growing artillery ammunition demands from US forces and allied militaries.
Initially, the collaboration will concentrate on manufacturing metal components for 155-millimeter artillery shells, with a joint working team responsible for coordinating engineering integration, quality assurance, and early-stage production targets.
As an affiliate of South Korea’s Hanwha Group, HDUSA contributes extensive experience in defense manufacturing, including artillery platforms, advanced defense components, and energetic materials. UNION Technologies, headquartered in Dallas, develops automated and software-driven manufacturing systems designed to rapidly scale production while maintaining strict traceability and process consistency.
