Bell Textron has selected Marotta Controls to design and supply a power inverter for the US Army’s MV-75 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program. According to Marotta, the new inverter will deliver reliable power to key onboard systems while preserving the aircraft’s lightweight, energy-efficient configuration. The collaboration represents Marotta’s first project with Bell and its debut in DC-to-AC power conversion for advanced military aircraft.
The MV-75, measuring 51 feet (16 meters), is being developed by Bell and its partners as a next-generation tiltrotor to replace aging Black Hawk and Apache helicopters. Combining vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capability with fixed-wing speed and range, the aircraft is designed to transport troops and cargo faster and farther than existing platforms.
