Airbus has announced plans to build a new A330 MRTT conversion center in Seville as part of efforts to expand military aircraft production capacity. The facility will retrofit civilian A330 aircraft into aerial refueling and transport platforms while also supporting maintenance and modernization services. Scheduled to open by 2027, the center will boost Airbus’ tanker conversion output and support major international contracts, including Italy’s recent purchase of six A330 MRTTs. The project is expected to generate significant employment and industrial investment in Spain.
