The Danish Ministry of Defence has placed an order with Finland’s Patria for 129 CAVS (Common Armoured Vehicle System) 6×6 vehicles. Deliveries are scheduled to begin within the year, ahead of the Danish Army’s operational deployment starting in 2026.

This procurement follows Denmark’s official accession to the multinational CAVS program, which includes Finland, Latvia, Sweden, and Germany. Copenhagen solidified its participation by signing the program’s three key agreements—covering R&D, framework structure, and life cycle management—after previously entering through a technical arrangement in April.

Patria reports receiving close to 1,000 orders under the CAVS program and has already delivered more than 200 vehicles. The Danish acquisition includes variants configured for command, communications, medical evacuation, and electronic warfare to support both infantry and engineering forces.

Manufactured in Finland with components sourced from Denmark, the vehicles represent a joint effort under the CAVS framework, launched in 2020 to standardize a 6×6 platform among allied forces.

Built on the Patria 6×6 chassis, the vehicle combines modularity and protection—featuring STANAG Level 2 ballistic and mine resistance—for use in protected transport and support operations.
