The European Defence Agency has commissioned Survey Copter to explore and develop a hybrid multi-mission drone that could soon operate in European airspace. Based on Airbus’ Capa-X UAS, the platform is being designed for roles such as surveillance, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, payload transport, and autonomous aerial refueling. The Multi-Mission Unmanned Aircraft System initiative is scheduled to span 48 months and carries an estimated budget of €1.1 million ($1.2 million).
