Top Aces has secured a 10-year contract worth up to €420 million to provide advanced operational training services for Germany’s armed forces. Under the agreement, the company will deliver adversary air and joint-force training using upgraded A-4N Skyhawks and Alpha Jets. The contract includes integration of Active Electronically Scanned Array radar and the Advanced Aggressor Mission System, an open-architecture avionics suite that enables realistic simulation of modern fighter threats. AAMS supports helmet-mounted cueing, tactical datalinks, electronic attack pods, and weapon simulation, allowing aggressor aircraft to replicate contemporary adversary tactics. This approach reduces reliance on frontline fighters for opposing-force roles, preserving their availability. The A-4N Skyhawk and Alpha Jet platforms will support a wide range of missions, including air-to-air, anti-shipping, electronic warfare, and multinational exercise support, offering German forces a cost-effective and realistic training environment.
