EuroTrophy has signed a €330 million contract with KNDS Deutschland to deliver Trophy Active Protection Systems for the Leopard 2A8 programs of Lithuania, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Croatia, with support packages covering spares, training, and logistics. According to EuroTrophy, the agreement confirms Trophy’s status as the active protection system of choice within NATO, offering comprehensive survivability capabilities tailored for high-threat environments on the eastern front. Trophy comes as part of the Leopard 2A8’s standard fit, allowing participating nations to deploy a unified configuration. Beyond the Leopard 2A8, the system is fielded on platforms such as the M1 Abrams and Merkava IV tanks, and has been adapted for lighter vehicles including Boxer and Patria AMV. Trophy is designed to detect, track, and neutralize incoming anti-armor threats—ranging from ATGMs and rockets to HEAT munitions and RPGs—before impact. Its radar-based, fully automated engagement sequence alerts crews, deploys countermeasures, pinpoints the launch location, and shares targeting data via digital battle management systems to support coordinated battlefield response.
