ARX Robotics of Munich has received a follow-on order to supply additional Gereon unmanned ground vehicles to Ukraine, advancing what is expected to become the world’s largest unified UGV fleet.
The vehicles, already active on the battlefield, will number in the hundreds and operate through the Mithra OS, enabling coordinated mission execution at scale.
Production is being distributed throughout Europe and Ukraine, with increased regional assembly capacity aimed at improving delivery speed and industrial sustainability.
The program was developed in collaboration with Ukrainian partner Frontline, using real-time field feedback under a joint European-Ukrainian development effort.
The new combat-configured Gereon variant, derived from the company’s RCS platform, integrates embedded AI to support autonomous mission performance.
Engineered for roles such as route clearing and heavy logistics support, the UGV reduces physical strain on troops and enhances operational throughput.
With a payload capacity of 500 kilograms and a 40-kilometer mission range, it can be adapted for casualty evacuation, supply transport, or remote surveillance applications.
