The US Marine Corps has awarded Raytheon a $51.9 million contract to supply Stinger air-to-air launchers and related support services for key air defense programs.
Included in the deal are equipment deliveries, operator training, integration engineering, and management of parts obsolescence.
These systems will enhance the Marine Corps’ GBAD and MADIS platforms, both of which use Stinger missiles as their main countermeasure against low-flying aircraft and drones.
Work will be distributed between Raytheon’s Tucson facility and Diné, New Mexico, with the program set for completion by September 2026.
