A firm in Ukraine has launched preliminary efforts to create an air defense system designed as a low-cost substitute for the US Patriot system. Fire Point, headquartered in Kyiv, is collaborating with European partners to develop the solution, targeting a significant reduction in ballistic missile interception costs to below $1 million.
While the identities of partner companies remain undisclosed, co-founder Denys Shtiliierman emphasized strong interest in working with industry players on key components such as radar systems, guidance technologies, and communication infrastructure.
