UVision, the Israeli defense technology company, has expanded its European footprint by establishing Uvision Europe GmbH in Munich, Germany. This new subsidiary builds on UVision’s prior engagements in Europe, where its HERO loitering munitions have been ordered and deployed by multiple countries.
Uvision Europe GmbH will support Europe-specific development projects and provide comprehensive services including engineering, customer support, local manufacturing, training, and integrated logistics. The subsidiary will also ensure that UVision’s solutions comply with European standards, certifications, and regulatory frameworks, reinforcing supply chain reliability and operational integration.
Roman Didenco, who leads RD Tech Group and IT consultancy NETTACT, has been named CEO of the new entity. Didenco remarked that the move “places the company closer to its clients and establishes the foundation for a progressively autonomous European operation.”
Since teaming with Rheinmetall in October 2021, UVision has marketed HERO kamikaze drones in Europe, with Hungary placing an order in July 2023 and other NATO partners signing contracts. HERO systems include the HERO 30, HERO 120, and HERO 400 variants, capable of striking armored vehicles, fixed fortifications, and other strategic targets, and are manufactured at RWM Italia in Sardinia under Rheinmetall’s management.
