L3Harris Technologies has received certification from the US National Security Agency for its upgraded Rover ISR radio terminals, clearing them for secure use by designated allied and partner nations.

The approval covers the Rover 6Sc transreceiver and the Tactical Network Rover 2c handheld device, allowing as many as 50 US State Department–authorized coalition partners to acquire the systems via the Foreign Military Sales channel.

With this clearance, allied forces can now exchange data and operate directly on NSA-encrypted US military networks, significantly improving interoperability with American forces. Previously, international users were restricted to exportable Rover “i” models that were not compatible with high-assurance US communications.

The Rover ISR terminal family supports a wide range of air, ground, and maritime operations, providing live video feeds and mission data for enhanced situational awareness, precision targeting, tracking, and battle damage assessment, in addition to relay and convoy monitoring roles.

Advanced frequency-agile technology ensures resilient connectivity in contested or degraded environments, overcoming interference, obstructions, and signal disruptions.

The newest Rover variants also support a broad range of waveforms, allowing interoperability with large aircraft, unmanned aerial platforms, and targeting pods currently fielded by military forces.
