Under a €2 billion ($2.3 billion) procurement deal managed by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, Germany will purchase Spike anti-tank missiles produced under Israeli license.

The contract was signed with EuroSpike GmbH, a Bavarian joint venture led by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and co-owned by Rheinmetall Electronics and Diehl Defence, which together hold the majority share.

The agreement encompasses missile delivery, training, maintenance, technical support, and system integration services.

The Spike missile family, operational in over 40 nations, offers multi-platform flexibility — deployable from shoulder-fired launchers, vehicles, aircraft, and ships — with engagement ranges spanning 50 to 50,000 meters.

Extensive European production allows Rafael to navigate export controls that apply to Israeli-origin defense equipment.
