CAE and Leonardo have expanded their cooperation to enhance training capabilities for the M-346 Master advanced jet trainer through the introduction of modern digital learning environments and synthetic training technologies. The partnership will include Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training systems along with Live Synthetic Integration capabilities, allowing pilots to experience realistic mission scenarios by combining aircraft operations with advanced simulation platforms. The companies will also prepare future upgrades for the M-346 platform, including Block 20 digital variants designed to support operations involving artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced mission systems. The initiative builds upon the International Flight Training School in Sardinia, where both companies provide advanced pilot training for the Italian Air Force and international operators. The facility integrates flight operations, simulator-based instruction, and mission preparation exercises. The collaboration supports the growing requirement for pilots to develop advanced decision-making skills as combat aircraft become more connected and technologically complex.
