Swiss aerospace firm Pilatus has been awarded a contract to deliver 12 PC-24 twin-engine aircraft to Indonesia, where they will be used by the air force for pilot training in transport, liaison, and instrument flight roles.

The package includes comprehensive support elements such as ground equipment, spare parts, tools, and technical services, all managed from Pilatus’ base in Stans. The agreement also contains provisions for additional aircraft orders in the future.

In parallel, both sides have signed a letter of intent covering a possible acquisition of 24 PC-21 turboprop trainer aircraft, reflecting Indonesia’s broader plans to strengthen its pilot training ecosystem.

Pilatus highlighted the agreement as the start of a long-term collaboration with Indonesia. To date, the company has produced and delivered more than 200 units each of the PC-24 and PC-21 platforms to international customers, including France, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Spain.
