EM&E Group and Indra Group have partnered with Intersoft Electronics Services to jointly market counter-drone (C-UAS) technologies in Belgium.

Announced at the Brussels European Defense Exhibition & Conference, the agreement outlines a division of roles in which EM&E will deliver electro-optical sensors and remote weapon stations, Indra will contribute radar systems and command-and-control architecture, and Intersoft will oversee integration and local commercialization.

The integrated system is expected to provide comprehensive drone defense capabilities, including detection, identification, tracking, and neutralization across diverse operational scenarios. The partners stressed that the initiative supports European strategic autonomy by prioritizing EU-origin technologies, reducing dependence on non-European suppliers, and improving protection against evolving drone threats.

The agreement aligns with wider European efforts to bolster air defense systems, especially near eastern borders. Recently, Poland signed a $1.65-billion deal with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa to procure 18 counter-drone batteries centered on the Protector remote weapon station.

Additionally, Spain deployed its Crow C-UAS system to Lithuania in January, stationing it at Šiauliai Air Base. The system supports surveillance and neutralization of drone threats under NATO’s ongoing Air Policing mission.
