SMARTSHOOTER, an Israeli defense technology company, has landed a $10.7-million follow-on contract from the US Army for its SMASH 2000LE fire control systems, further reinforcing its presence within the US defense sector.
The latest order follows earlier agreements with Washington that included initial deliveries for the army, along with additional procurements by both the US Marines and the US Air Force.
System deliveries under the contract are expected to run through the third quarter of 2026.
The company said the procurement was handled through the US Army’s newly formed Portfolio Acquisition Executive – Defensive Fires office, with support from Virginia-based Atlantic Diving Supply in managing the transaction.
About the SMASH System
The SMASH 2000LE is part of SMARTSHOOTER’s portable fire-control system lineup, integrating artificial intelligence, computer vision technology, and sophisticated tracking software to enhance target engagement.
The system is intended for infantry and designated marksmen, offering improved accuracy against both land-based and airborne threats, particularly drones.
Its upgraded 2000LE configuration, also known as the SMASH 3000SA, adds advanced networking capabilities that allow seamless battlefield data exchange and enhanced battle-management integration across connected platforms.
SMARTSHOOTER has previously highlighted that the SMASH system has already seen operational use with the Israel Defense Forces and is currently deployed on NATO-standard small arms systems.
