Northrop Grumman has been named among the defense contractors eligible to compete for task orders worth up to $25 billion under the US Defense Microelectronics Activity’s Advanced Technology Support Program V.
The ATSP V contracting framework is intended to speed the delivery of US-manufactured microelectronics into military and federal systems.
Under the program’s streamlined structure, Northrop Grumman can submit responses to government requests for proposals within 30 days, with awards expected to follow within approximately 80 to 90 days.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity vehicle allows the Department of Defense and other federal agencies to quickly procure engineering capabilities across a wide spectrum, including advanced semiconductor fabrication, packaging technologies, and novel materials engineering.
A total of ten companies, including Northrop Grumman, are participating in ATSP V, alongside firms such as Raytheon, L3Harris Technologies, Leidos, General Dynamics Mission Systems, and the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory.
The program builds on a series of recent US defense initiatives aimed at reinforcing domestic microelectronics supply chains.
Previous awards include GlobalFoundries’ $3.13-billion Trusted Access Program contract in 2023 and IBM’s $576-million DMEA agreement in 2024 to support secure semiconductor production for defense and national security missions.
